Liku is made by a small family business specializing in rattan with the idea of bringing lightness and a good atmosphere to your home. The modern and simple design made from vertical black rattan fibers shades the light in a calming striped pattern.
A metal frame defines the round shape of the lampshade and reinforces the material so that it is relatively robust and can easily withstand multiple movements.
Liku is available in two sizes and comes without a cable, but you can purchase it in the desired length and color at any hardware store. A light bulb is also not included in the scope of delivery.

Main material: rattan
Rattan palms tend to grow in large quantities in dense forests, where they are considered invasive plants because they take up space from other plants and drain many nutrients from the soil. The stems, which grow quickly without chemical additives, must be cut off regularly and, after the drying process, can be used as material for furniture and baskets. This makes rattan an extremely sustainable and abundant material.

This lampshade is handmade in Bali, Indonesia.
When selecting our local producers, we value fair pay and good working conditions. In the factories where we source our goods, we only work with adult and experienced artisans. No harmful chemicals are used in the manufacturing process. Since all work steps are carried out by hand, the production process causes hardly any greenhouse gas emissions. We ensure all of this through regular on-site visits and permanent personal contact with the companies.
